I grew up in Detroit, attended Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, and went on to earn my Bachelor of Science from the University of Detroit. I started my career in financial services in 1996 with MONY Group, and in 2000, my business partner, David Leszcynski, and I went independent and founded Global Financial Planning Group together.
A few years in, I completed the Personal Financial Planning program at Oakland University's School of Business Administration and earned my Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2006. That credential meant a great deal to me, but more than the letters, what it represented was a commitment to this work that I haven't stopped building on since.
The way I think about financial planning comes down to something pretty straightforward: people who feel genuinely confident in their financial lives have more room to focus on everything else that matters to them. That's what I'm working toward with every client, a plan that holds up well enough that they don't have to think about it constantly.
Outside of work, I stay active, have a deep appreciation for photography and visual art, and spend as much time as I can with my four children, Reed, Ali, Gavin, and Brian. Being present and engaged as a parent is something I take seriously, and the same values I try to model at home, hard work, dedication, and respect, tend to show up in how I approach this work, too.
