I spent years working in public relations in Texas before relocating to Michigan about six years ago. When I arrived, an opportunity opened up in financial services, and I walked through the door. What I found on the other side was work that genuinely engaged me, particularly the client-facing side of it. Watching someone's years of careful planning actually pay off, seeing the tangible result of what our team helps put in place, is the part of this job that keeps me motivated.
I studied Business at the University of the Incarnate Word and hold a Life, Accident and Health insurance license in Michigan. In my role as a Client Service Specialist, I work alongside Becky supporting Darryl and Dave, handling new accounts, asset transfers, cash requests, money movement, cost basis, meeting preparation, and RMDs. I came in knowing how to build relationships and manage competing priorities, and I've found that those skills matter just as much here as they did in any previous role.
I'm originally from San Antonio and spent 17 years in Houston before making the move north to Troy, where I have settled in happily. Outside of work, I stay active by running marathons and half marathons, and I often spend my free time at the local library. In my free time, I love to spend time with my children, balancing our family adventures with my volunteer work through the Junior League of Birmingham. Much of my service is dedicated to supporting families at Haven, a domestic violence shelter in Pontiac, which is a meaningful experience that truly puts everything else in perspective.
